Foreclosure activity has surged dramatically in 2025. In the first quarter alone, more than 68,700 U.S. properties entered the foreclosure process—a 14% increase from the previous quarter and 2% higher year-over-year, PR NewswireSavannah CEO. By July, monthly foreclosure filings soared even further, totaling 36,128 filings, which represents an 11% rise from June and a 13% increase compared to July 2024 ATTOM+1.
